Day 9 training

Hi everyone! Daniel had a good day today. We did a long tracking this morning, across a dry creekbed and over a field. Dove found him without any trouble! Go Dove!  Then Daniel went with his friend Talon and Dove found him that time too. He was hiding behind a small building. We went back to 4 Paws to go over some basics and learn how to command "kisses". Let's just say that these dogs love peanut butter!
We broke for lunch and met again at the local mall for tracking practice in a store setting. It's more subdued, but try telling that to Dove. She had me squeezing through this small spot around a corner! I had to hold her back just to get through! We practiced some heeling with the stroller and took Daniel to ride on a couple of kiddie rides. Dove is sound asleep on the floor right now. Wish I was with her!  I think I hear her snoring!
Just a one more day of training and then we take our public access test on Friday. Then we get to come home on Saturday! Yippee! I can't wait to get back to my own BIG bed. This double bed with me, Daniel and Dove is a bit crowded.
It is helping the two of them bond though. She snuggles up to him all night. She has on two occasions pawed at me during the night. This is her way of alerting for a seizure. I think once we get home, and everyone, including Dove, gets some rest, then more alerts will come. She is so tired too. We all need to get back on a regular schedule. She is such a good dog. We are very thankful to have her now.
I hope we are able to keep in touch with a lot of the people here. We have met some very nice families and it would be nice to see how their dogs have done after getting them home.
Bye for now, I hope you enjoy the pictures.
