Training Day 2

Today was a great day. A lot of information to absorb. We worked on sit and down commands again, adding in extra distractions to see how the dogs react to them.  We learned the "heel" command and how to make turns and walk with Dove. She did really well today! We were so impressed of course with our dog! However, I must say that ALL the dogs did really great. It is amazing how well they all respond to all these new people telling them what to do.
All the dogs know a few tricks too. Dove can give a high five,  shake and give five. They are pretty similar anyhow. We mainly change how we approach with our hand. Alena did some training today and was super! I was very proud of her for participating and learning so much!

This is the first night for Dove to come back to the hotel with us. So far she has been so good. She likes to ride in the car and Daniel seems to take over then! He is in charge! He gives her treats off and on during training, but is usually playing with toys and the other kids. Once we get her to ourselves though Daniel just loves and loves on her! We will see how it goes tonight. She can sleep in the bed with him if she wants to and we hope she does. He hasn't had a gran mal for a few days, which is normal, but we hope she will get the opportunity to see or alert for one. It would be surprising for her to alert this quick, but we can hope

Tomorrow morning we will be practicing Tracking of Daniel! He will go out with the trainer and then Dove will track her and Daniel hoping to transfer his scent to Dove. It really is amazing how well thought out all of the training is done.  I have been so impressed with everything here. The weather is great! The dog is great!
